Ranking Survivor Winners...But It's Only Based On How Much I Like Them

I found a YouTube video the other day that ranked all the Survivor winners based on how entertaining they were as characters (shoutout to TheMeridianReview) and it gave me an idea. I got the impulsive thought to rank every winner, but in the most bias way imaginable. I wanted to rank them based only on how much I liked them as people and how I felt about their edits or games. Because if there's one thing I love, it's ranking things for no reason based on random criteria! So, here's my definitely not biased ranking list.  The scale I'll be using:  1 – hate them, 2 – dislike, 3 – neutral, 4 –like, 5 – love --- The Really Don't Vibe With Them Tier 47. Dee (45), 1.17, she had the makings of a really good winner, I admired her skill in challenges, her sharp strategic mind, and dominant gameplay, but her villainous moments ruined it for me. not because a villain shouldn't win, but because the edit didn't commit to making her a full-fledged villain winner. they st...

Survivor 47 Episode 13 - Positives and Negatives of Remaining Players & Ranking Winner Contenders

So, last week we said farewell to my winner pick and disaster prince Andy, a truly heartbreaking and ironic turn of events even though we all knew he was going to go in the aftermath of Operation: Italy, but I don't think anyone expected him to go like THAT. Shooting himself in the foot while trying to earn respect, only to earn so much respect that it gets him idoled out? What an Andy way to go. So poetic. I could appreciate it through my tears.  We also lost ice queen Genevieve at 5th, which I also predicted, and it was sad to see her go, especially when I had just started to like her only a couple episodes before her departure...but such is the way things go on Survivor.  Now we're down to four, so let's take one last look at everyone's edits before the finale.  #1. Rachel (13:8)  Positives "we won as a community" quote  from the complex tribe (gata)  gained strategic visibility during the merge  gets a lot of advantages and is shown using t...

Survivor 47 Episode 12 - Positives and Negatives of Remaining Players & Ranking Winner Contenders

Uh...what just happened.  First of all, phenomenal episode all around, one of the best of the new era. A true underdog moment, a ragtag team of 3 vs a stacked alliance of 4, and they somehow survived thanks to Andy's plan. And getting to see Andy finally get recognition and respect from the audience was...vindicating to say the least, considering how I clocked his mastermind potential from Episode 5, but I'm glad everyone else is seeing it now. :')  Thanks to the collective efforts of Andy, Sam and Genevieve, Caroline was the one that went home last week, which was a bit of a shocker for me - I had her at 4th out of 8 in terms of viable edits, but I did predict correctly that there was an off chance she'd go home if something crazy happened.  Now, going into the finale (or semifinal?), it's a lot harder to figure out where things are going to go for these guys, but I'll update my lists and see where things stand.  #1. Andy (17:11)  Positives  got a mat cha...

Survivor 47 Episode 11 - Positives and Negatives of Remaining Players & Ranking Winner Contenders

I read online someone say that this episode could've been an e-mail, and honestly? I agree. Not the best episode of the season, but at least we got some much needed emotional content for some of the castaways, which I appreciated. The softie within me is always a sucker for an emotional reflection segment.  But back to the analysis! Last week, as we all expected, Kyle went home, and no one is surprised. I had him at 7th out of 8 in terms of my winner contenders, so it was only a matter of time before Grim Reaper Jeff came to snuff his torch. This week, however, things are looking a little different going into Episode 12.  As always, I'm looking at everyone's edits and listing out their positives and negatives, then ranking them based on who has the best case so far, as objectively as possible.  #1. Andy (18:10)  Positives  got a mat chat  is shown last in the opening credits with a beaming smile (like Dee in 45)  "i see this as a numbers game" confess...
